NEWS
- WebCT
is on and running. Please bear in mind that the person setting it
up used a wrong index for the title: MA 2350
Elementary Linear Algebra;
read: MA 2320 Elementary Linear Algebra;
- FINAL EXAM has been scheduled
for Friday, August 11th,
2:45pm, 08-642.
It will be a 1:30 hours comprehensive exam. Download
a review sheet from here.
You will be tested MAINLY on material covered in Sections 5.1-5.3, 6.1, 6.2,
7.1.
Also do go over the stuff covered in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 as you will have
some problems from there.
- You can download the review sheet for Exam 1 from here
and for Exam 2 from here.
Homework
due:
HW11: Section 2.8 - Wednesday, Week 5;
HW12: Section 2.9 - Thursday, Week 5;
HW13: Section 3.1 - Monday, Week 6;
HW14: Section 3.2 - Monday, Week 6;
HW15: Section 3.3 - Wednesday, Week 6;
HW16: Section 5.1 - Monday, Week 7;
HW17: Section 5.2 - Tuesday, Week 7;
HW18: Section 5.3 - Wednesday, Week 7;
HW19: Section 6.1 - Thursday, Week 7 - LAST HOMEWORK DUE!
YOU ARE STILL EXPECTED TO DO HW 6.2 and 7.1. However 6.2 and 7.1 will not be
collected.
The homework is due at
the beginning of class. Please keep all the sections on separate sheet(s).
Staple all the sections together and write your name on the top of the first
page.
General rule: the homework set is assigned automatically from the Revised
Schedule and Problem Assignments list when I finish a section. It is
due on the 3rd class after that (i.e. if we are done with Section 2.1 on
Tuesday, the homework set for this section will be due on next Monday).
YOU NEED TO SHOW YOUR
WORK TO RECEIVE CREDIT! I want you to include at least the major steps for
solving the problem. Answers for some of the problems are available at the end
of the book, so I cannot give you any points for just copying them. Also I
don't want to grade your ability to use calculator or computer.
