We are always looking for new Lab Consultants..
[edit] Lab Consultant
[edit] Duties
- Help students with using Mathematica and Blackboard.
- Explain calculus concepts to students.
- Record when a student turns in their lab.
- Grade labs.
- Watch out for cheating during Blackboard quizzes.
- Load printer, troubleshoot, and keep the lab tidy.
[edit] Requirements
- Familiarity with Mathematica, Blackboard, and OpenOffice.
- Completion of Calc I, II and III.
- Excellent communication skills.

- 5-20 hours per week.

[edit] Duties
- Setup schedule of lab due dates.
- Notify new students of preliminary schedule.
- Handle problems with Blackboard.

- Mathematics Grad Student.
- Familiarity with Mathematica, Blackboard, and OpenOffice.
- Completion of Calc I, II, and III.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.

- 5 to 20 hours per week.

[edit] Duties
- Report grades at the end of the term.
- Maintain web pages (mediawiki / php script).
- Maintain databases (MySQL).
- Troubleshoot computer problems.
- Maintain computer hardware and software.
[edit] Requirements
- At least some basic computer troubleshooting skills.
- Some familiarity with the subjects below would be helpful, but not necessary:
- Linux operating system
- HTML web page design
- MySQL databases
- php scripting language
- (Useful in incorporating database information into web pages.)
- and mediawikis

- About 10 hours per week.
